Hiking Bukit Gasing, Petaling Jaya

If you are a hiker in Selangor, Bukit Gasing is one of the compulsary hiking trail you shouldnt miss to come. It's located in Seksyen 5, Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya and from the main road, it only takes about 7 minutes to the entrance by car. Dont worry it's easy to find (guna waze pun boleh). This place is quite crowded on weekend so here are tips from me,

1) come early - it's really hard to find a car parking as this forest park is located around residential area. I came by 7AM but I still needed to park abit far. But it's okay as we came here for exercise.

2) Dont ever park your car across the yellow line (Garisan kuning). And garisan kuning dia kind of blurry but still dont ever park there because a lot of cars have been sued for illegal parking INCLUDE ME. (I still remember how my heart broke to pieces seeing a long paper hanging at my car's wiper) It really makes no sense why MBPJ are working on weekend and helloooo, kawasan kampungg kot???

Bukit Gasing's highest point at 160 metres gives a panoramic view of both Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. It's really suitable for a newbie hiker, and parents who want to expose their children with outdoor and nature. The trail is quite simple and easy yet very confusing eventho I've been there for 3rd times! Why? Later I will story to you how I got lost but not really 'lost' la in this jungle.

Bukit gasing has a few of entrances in which you will meet and greet other hikers in the opposite way of directions. Besides, it has a lot of trails which will bring you to the different paths and directions. Every junctions you need to choose will direct you to the different paths. I've been there for 3 times and when thru 3 different directions. Oh yaaa! Tips no 3) take a picture of this forest park's route map at the entrance before you explore inside.

1) First time - Menara Puncak

- I came with Jaja (for all the trips), which both of us were clueless, never imagine there were a lot of junctions we needed to choose. We entered from entrance ni, naik tangga yang quite challeging, lagi dasyat dari Batu Caves and about 30 minutes, we finished our hiking 😀😀 Ikut kata hati dan lalu je jalan yang rasa betul and finally we came out thru the second entrance. Yang gambar 1st atas tu lah breath taking at menara puncak.

2) Second times - The Temple & Pencawang TNB

- Memang niat nak hike sampai jumpa temple ni so berpandukan gambar laluan dan tanya orang sekeliling dalam sejam, we arrived kat temple. The trail was totally different from the 1st trail and again it was so confusing as you will find a lot of junctions. Always ask people around. Kat kawasan ni ada banyak sangat monyet. I've a bad experience there which was I kena kepung dengan a loootssssssss of big monkeys. Memang dah in the emergency situation that time, bila bila masa je boleh kena terkam, aku baca semua ayat pelindung yang aku tahu, stucked there almost 15 minutes and Alhamdulillah, selamat keluar dari kepungan!

3) Third times - Sungai & Jambatan Gantung.

Initially, we planned to reach at that small hanging bridge (gambar atas), which is the popular landmark at Bukit Gasing. We went thru the exhausting stairs, berhenti kat puncak absorbing Vitamin D from a bright morning sunshine, follow the right path, asking people around but still we got lost and after 1h15m we arrived at the different forest's entrance. Dari Bukit Gasing kiteorang jalan sampai Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi! Hah kauuuu sesat sampai sana. Hahahahahaha tapi Alhamdulillah dapatlah naik jambatan gantung tapi bukan yang dicari cari tu, tak jumpa yang kecik, Allah ganti dengan bigggg steel Hanging Bridge 😀😀😀😀😀😀
